About the role:

We Are Social is a global socially-led creative agency with unrivalled social media expertise.

With more than 1300 people in 17 offices spanning four continents and over 80 people here in our Singapore office, we deliver a global perspective to our clients in a time when social media is shaping culture.


As People & Culture Director, you will lead our efforts in building a culture that values and enables our people.

You will be responsible for driving the people strategy to attract, engage, develop and retain top talent to enhance talent density and drive business performance at We Are Social Singapore.


Reporting to the CEO of Singapore, the People & Culture Director will be part of the local leadership team and also lead a team of three, comprising two Senior People & Culture Executives as well as an Office Administrator.


_Key Responsibilities_:


  • Develop, implement and communicate a valued people agenda aligned to the global strategy.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to the Singapore office across all areas of People & Culture function including but not limited to talent acquisition, employee relations, performance and talent management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, culture development and compliance.
  • Partner with the local leadership team to provide strategic analysis and recommendations for their departments.
  • Build a high performance culture by being a trusted advisor and enabling line managers to take accountability for managing performance and nurturing people.
  • Lead the development and administration of programs, guidelines, policies and procedures to maintain a competitive edge and align them with the strategic goals of the company
  • Lead the company's efforts in equity, diversity and inclusion. You will foster an inclusive culture, attract and retain a diverse workforce, track and identify areas of improvements aligned to our global ED&I commitments.
  • Work closely with the global People & Culture team across all offices to drive global initiatives and projects.
  • Drive operational excellence within the People & Culture team in Singapore.

_Key Areas of Competence_:


Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and drive high level recruitment strategy to become employer of choice with the industry through both successful headhunting and partnering with leading recruiters.
  • Activate employee value proposition to strengthen employer brand in the market.
  • Develop an internship programme aligned to graduate programme principles.
  • Evaluate overall costs and benefits of different recruitment channels and anticipate implications of future skills demands on usage of recruitment channels.
  • Show cost savings through regular monitoring.

Talent and Performance Management

  • Ensure a continuous process of the performance management cycle across the business to support employees' growth and development.
  • Develop talent maps with the local leadership team to create succession plans.
  • Work with the local leadership team to provide employees with clear career maps and competency frameworks to set expectations for career progression.
  • Reviewing and adapting job descriptions across all levels to reflect changes to roles in the everchanging business.

Learning and Development

  • Ensure a tailored and valued programme to drive performance.
  • Foster a culture based on informal mentoring and coaching.
  • Champion a world class induction programme.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Align total rewards philosophy and business' strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain a best in class rewards programme offering to drive engagement and retention.
  • Continually review emerging compensation management trends and processes to understand the current job market and refine the company's reward strategies where appropriate.

Strategy and Business Change

  • Champion and drive change management programmes to increase employee morale i.e. employee wellbeing programme.
  • Coach the local leadership team to take accountability and advocate change management programmes.

Employee Relations

  • Continuously review policies and procedures within the Singapore office.
  • Develop frameworks for managing conflicts, grievances and disputes.
  • Mediate and resolve issues across all aspects of employee relations i.e. disciplinaries and grievances

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Lead the development of best practices in the workplace diversity strategies.
  • Create alignment between equity, diversity and inclusion programmes planned with existing People & Culture programmes and initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and developments that may impact ED&I strategies.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the creative business.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, dynamic, fastpaced environment where change is constant and demanding.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support leaders and employees.
  • Strong employee relations
