Description

Responsibilities:

Develop delivery schedules and shipment strategies
Arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies and route drivers
Monitor the timely processing of incoming materials shipments and stocking the items in the warehouse
Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, customer requirements and other records to determine shipping methods/ strategies required to meet receiving schedules.
Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers timescales/requirements
Oversee outgoing shipment activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments
Researches vendor, pricing, and manufacturer information; inputs all required data to initiate purchase orders.
Collaborate with Procurement to select carrier contracts based on cost, availability and reliability
Manage Manpower resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles
Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse
Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements and o inventory usage are recorded
Monitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and communicate all shortage issues to the Material Planners
Reorder raw materials as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels as determined by Material planner
Optimize warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to achieve maximum storage efficiency
Procurement duties (20%)
Any other tasks assign by management

Qualifications

Degree/ Diploma in in Building Engineering/ Materials Management
APICS training / certifications

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of warehouse, cargo documentation, and/or logístical movement control experience
Meticulous with an eye for details
Collaborative
Effective communication skills
Conscientious
Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience of working with suppliers
