Get to know the Team


We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Places search and discovery product team which develops the best pick up and drop-off experience when ordering a ride, food or a parcel delivery.

This team focuses on making sure our consumers can find a point of interest (POI) as quickly and easily as possible.


We're a large, diverse team of engineers, data scientists and product managers who drive value by building the best maps for South East Asia.

We have several projects and opportunities within our team; we need folks who are start-up minded, customer-obsessed, action-oriented and ready to get their hands dirty from the get-go to make Grab the go-to platform for all customers, drivers and merchants across SEA.


Get to know the Role

  • Own and drive the strategy and product roadmap for your area within Mobility (GrabShare or Economy or Conversion).
  • Define a winning strategy and roadmap for your area of responsibility by distilling input from various internal and external stakeholders and guide long term product innovations for Grab's future success. Internally champion your strategy and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Gather & document product requirements from Grab users, internal and external in a crystal clear format for designers, engineers and datascientists to execute on
  • Coordinate with other stakeholders to execute on your roadmap by providing leadership including prioritization and tradeoffs to a large group of engineers, designers and distributed operations team.
  • Define success criteria and tracking metrics that measure the impact of your work against agreed objectives.
  • Be a team player, live our values and contribute to broader objectives of Grab to achieve our mission to create economic empowerment for the people of Southeast Asia

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • You will work backwards from the Grab consumers by collecting data, user feedback and use that to inform your affordability and conversion strategy to get more passengers to use grab.
  • You will work with engineers and designers on crafting a product end to end from ideation to go to market.
  • You are in constant communication with multiple teams including senior Grab and Mobility leadership about the development/improvement of features and how it directly helps our consumers.

The Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager in ridehailing, consumer experience spaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently operate in a complex and ambiguous environment, constructing clear strategies and roadmaps supported by analysis and data from loosely defined priorities and goals.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and managing products through full software product lifecycle including employment of design thinking in synthesizing requirements, inclusion of customer centricity into every stage of product life cycle, leading by influence of a large, culturally diverse and distributed team, data driven decision making across the product lifecycle and demonstrated success in managing products from concept to retirement.
  • Demonstrated grasp of financial concepts to plan resource allocations and ongoing tracking against business objectives
  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business finance, economics or related field (MBA is a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to articulate complex concepts and strategies to all levels from executive leadership to engineering and operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a team including goal setting, personal development and coaching and inspiring for impact.
  • Passion for tech industry and building delightful product experiences with ownership mindset to learn, influence and not shy away from hard stuff to meet objectives.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Entrepreneurial or startup experience having investigated product market fit and first launch
  • Demonstrated participation in driving industry discussions as a company representative and/or recognition as a thought leader in field of expertise by active participation in industry forum
