JOB SUMMARY


The Director, HR Technology & Analytics develops an ecosystem of people, platforms, processes and partners to facilitate evidence-based people decision making for APEC's continual growth as the world's largest hospitality company.

As a strategic and hands-on team leader, the Director manages the implementation and maintenance of Marriott's global workforce management in APEC, oversees people data and reporting processes, and delivers actionable people insights via innovative analytical tools/techniques.

In partnership with HR teams and other internal/external stakeholders, the Director orchestrates and delivers fit-for-purpose people technology and analytical outputs that support business objectives and enhance Marriott's competitive edge as an industry leader.


EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Technology

  • Partner with HQ, local stakeholders and external vendors to implement Marriott's global workforce management platform, focusing on workstreams concerning reporting, analytics and data conversion
  • Support change management initiatives to maximize enduser effectiveness. (e.g. advisory groups, focus groups, learning/education efforts etc.)
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance, administration and help desk support of core HR module and related platforms; ensure resolution of businessasusual system issues. (e.g. user enquiries, access requests, mass transactions etc.)
  • Explore and leverage full potential of internal/external technology to establish a single source of truth for all people information. (e.g. integration with payroll, benefits, absence management etc.)
Data & Reporting

  • Build a onestop HR intelligence hub that delivers regular and ad hoc metrics reporting, benchmarking and goalsetting solutions to meet business needs. (e.g. Headcount & Turnover, Associate Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management etc.)
  • Design, enhance and disseminate scorecards and dashboards using advanced data reporting/visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint Online etc.)
  • Optimize reporting workflow by identifying manual/repeatable tasks that can be redesigned and/or automated
  • Implement audit processes and other data governance measures to ensure data integrity/quality/accuracy
Analytics & Insights

  • Communicate actionable findings and recommendations in an intuitive, meaningful manner to senior management, HR teams and other stakeholders
  • Enhance touchpoints of the entire talent experience (hire to retire) through rigorous data analysis, thoughtful interpretation of findings and impactful communication of insights
  • Participate in crossdepartment/discipline projects involving people data (e.g. productivity definition and measurement, learning effectiveness, scorecard consolidation etc.)
Associate Engagement Process

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to define the annual Engagement Survey process
  • Represent the region on providing inputs to represent regional needs and feedback for continuous improvement of the process
  • Work with the APEC markets to complete effective preparation and administration steps
  • Drive communications to support the life cycle of the process
  • Drive and support reporting of results across stakeholder groups to ensure effective communication and understand of results, supporting effective action planning
Leadership & Partnership

  • Define and execute the HR technology and analytics vision and strategy
  • Collaborate with iT, Finance, Consumer Operations and other internal analytics teams to leverage synergies in technology and analytics solutions. (e.g. database/data mart, selfservice reporting tools/techniques etc.)
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to leadership on prevailing technology and workforce trends; stay up to speed with latest people technology and analytics market trends to evaluate timely adoption
  • Manage, coach and develop HR technology and analytics talents/team members

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong computer skills required. Prior experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM Cloud and/or any HRMS experience, and Learning Management Systems and Platforms preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required. Knowledge and experience in Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint, predictive data modeling, statistical analysis, database management, data visualization preferred
  • Proficient in one or more programing language, e.g. SQL, Python, etc.
  • Ability to organize and manipulate large volumes of data to create a synthesized, meaningful analysis
  • Excellent business aptitude and strategic orientation
  • Superior analytical, critical and lateral thinking skills coupled with ability to anticipate and solve probl
