The Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage product development and maintenance for Secured Lending (Mortgage and Auto Loans) in line with the overall product and segment strategy
  • Outline the global product strategy and road map for Secured Lending; execute through action plans that will enable the organization to exceed all financial and nonfinancial goals.

Strategy

  • Lead the development of the Secured Lending strategy in line with the overall CPBB strategy, working with Group, Country and Regional counterparts
  • Work with markets to ensure execution of key strategy agenda and projects

Business

  • Oversee the financial performance management of the Secured Lending business including setting and tracking KPIs; and review / challenge of budgets, forecasts, risks and opportunities.
  • Maximize customerlevel profitability by deepening relationship of our mortgage customer base and putting in place crosssell and portfolio management actions.
  • Lead the research, development and rollout of new product constructs across key markets
  • Establish a roadmap for digitization of the mortgage business and manage key delivery of key projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing and margin management and work with the markets in executing the agreed actions.
  • Manage key Grouplevel projects and put in place the required project management discipline to ensure timely, onground execution.

People and Talent

  • Maintain strong relationships with key Group, regional and country stakeholders; and foster a conducive working culture

Risk Management

  • Facilitate setting of Global risk appetite and metrics; articulate and propose global risk parameters as 1st line owner
  • Identify and execute agreed credit risk enablers in the mortgage portfolios across markets with the intent of 1) becoming more competitive in the market; 2) improving riskreturn trade off and 3) growing the business.

Governance

  • Own, develop and maintain all key product governance documents and guidelines, including managing ongoing dispensations
  • Lead implementation of or particulate in the rollout of key global regulatory programmes and requirements

  • 10 + years of experience in Banking, product management i.e digitization of mortgages & loans.
  • Refresh strategy in line with the market developments and create a positioning for SCB to increase client wallet share using payments as a key enabler across client segments
  • Develop competitive P2P domestic capabilities and drive usage of the faster payments ecosystem
  • Develop world class international remittance solutions that can compete against traditional and Neobanks/fintechs and solve needs for affluent & International clients on pricing and experience
  • Own and manage the mortgage or loan products including product management, deal management with schemes and driving capabilities like Digital experience with controls & budget management
  • Build strong ecommerce capabilities to improve auth rates and reduce friction on experience
  • Interaction and proposition codevelopment with key social payments players.
  • Work with countries to understand the new developments in the market including regulatory changes and continuously review the global product standard to ensure that new developments, changes including best practices are embedded into the global product standard and made available to all relevant countries globally. Thus ensure we understand, explore & build once and implement globally.
  • Define system requirements for new products/features/CVPs and work with ITO to ensure that the same is built once as a standard and implemented globally.
  • Work with external stakeholders to create the right outcome for SCB
  • Ensure effective rollout of capabilities across markets by working with geographic multifunctional teams
