The Role Responsibilities

Job Role
The role is that of a BPM.

It provides day-to‐day planning, coordination and execution support to the CoS CCIB-EA and Head of Strategy ("CoS") and Executive Director, CEO Office, CCIB-EA ("ED CEO Office"), with the goal of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness to the mandate of the office.

Unique and challenging position requiring a combination of strategic thinking and strong analytic capabilities; accompanied by solid communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.


Strategy

Strategic Agenda Setting

  • Work with the CoS and ED CEO Office, to establish and maintain a forwardlooking view of business and management deliverables and effectively leverage this information to set key meetings and committee agendas that inform and advance progress.
  • Recommend and help facilitate select projects that advance the agenda and effectiveness of his office, working in collaboration with other departments and staff as appropriate.

Business

Communications Planning and Execution


Inform and coordinate the CEO, CCIB's communications activities with regard to promoting message alignment and ensuring effective delivery and follow up.


  • Assist in management of communications
  • Internal and external speeches (e.g., employee events, client events, conferences, AGM, etc)
  • Event management and logístical support
  • Inform and coordinate the office communications activities with appropriate managers and staff with regards to promoting message alignment, and ensuring effective delivery, and follow‐up

Processes

Executive Planning and Time Management

  • Establish and maintain a forwardlooking view of the CEO, CCIB's calendar, working with the Executive Assistant to ensure his time is effectively and efficiently aligned with both internal and external priorities.
  • Follow up on commitments and deliverables with the CEO, CCIB's direct reports.
  • Understand and assess the expectations and requirements associated with the CEO, CCIB (internal / external; committed / requested) and coordinate preparations in collaboration with relevant departments as appropriate.

Risk Management

Tracking and Issue Management

  • Work with the CoS and ED CEO Office to establish and maintain an active repository of key follow up issues emerging from internal and external activities and ensure their effective closure.
  • Independently identify key issues and initiate efforts to assess and resolve them, working in collaboration with the CoS and key leaders in the bank.

Governance

Meetings

  • Set and manage agenda for all CCIB MT and CCIB Business Heads meetings including minutes and action follow up.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, papers, and review material to support discussions and decision making at various forums (e.g. Group MT, Committees).
  • Liaise with Group Corporate Secretariat on papers and followup action items for Group Committees, Board Committees and Board meetings and prepare reports, presentations, papers, and review material to support discussions and decision making.
  • Organise all aspects of management team and committee meetings and country visits and events.
  • Coordinate and support business engagements with other teams / partners in the Bank and external parties.

Regulatory and Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
