What the role is


You will assist in Native Plant Centre's work including plant propagation, documentation of plant growth and management of plant inventory.


What you will be working on

  • Plant propagation techniques for Species Recovery Programme
  • Experimental propagation, monitoring and documentation of native stock plants from seeds, cuttings and grafting
  • Collection of plant material from nature areas of Singapore for identification and propagation
  • Manage plant inventory and issuance at the Native Plant Centre

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, or related disciplines
  • Keen interest in nursery work, field work and plant identification; Experience and skills in these areas will be a strong advantage
  • Strong interest in the flora of Singapore and conservation
  • Able to work independently and multitask in performing a diverse range of duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and writing skills
  • Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays when required
  • Singapore Class 3 driving license will be an advantage
