Job Description Summary


The Supply Chain Business Partner delivers consistent excellence in product demand planning and allocation planning, by engaging closely with Commercial teams, regional and global Supply Chain teams, third parties and BD source locations to achieve positive customer outcomes.

The Demand & Allocation Planner's responsibilities extend to making appropriate recommendations to optimize service and minimize costs.


The role also includes negotiation with local divisions and Global Supply Planning teams to achieve service expectations and to prepare the necessary reporting and visibility of results and future plans.

It includes all aspects of the portfolios success which can include consignment inventory, interbranch replenishment, life-cycle-planning, and aspects of local stock management such as expiry control and samples.


The role is hands-on and requires clear & effective communication skills to ensure that all product demand is clearly understood, communicated to Global Supply Planners via
SIOP, and executed in a timely manner with regular feedback/ updates on supply availability via S&OE, which are then provided to key stakeholders such as sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning

  • Maintain demand planning activities such as forecast profiles, new products, conversion strategies, contracts and tenders through to order creation and fulfilment, ensuring the international suppliers and manufacturing divisions meet the requirements of markets.
  • Enrich the statistically or machine learning based forecast by gathering assumptions from commercial and marketing teams to reflect business strategy(NPI, PLCM, GTM) and sales evolution into the local Demand Plan.
  • Colead, and if needed, coordinate the monthly demand consensus (monthly through to long range demand planning) for the businesses by actively engaging the marketing and finance community as key participants in the process.
  • Update the consensus figures into SCM DP for monthly pass.
  • Initiate and drive improvements in the process and forecast analysis through increased market knowledge
  • Drive system usage, including: SCM-DP Statistical Modelling, Machine Learning Forecasting, and/or adoption of Kinaxis.

SIOP

  • Partner with
    SIOP Country Leader to drive Regional
    SIOP best practice adoption.
  • Review historical demand trends and drivers to prepare statistical forecast modules.
  • Lead or colead the Demand consensus monthly meetings to discuss high variances for actual demand vs forecast, highlight erratic and trending demand, and review of sales budget to finance impact.
  • Actively participate and contribute in the cross functional monthly
    SIOP meetings to help the business keep supply and demand in balance and achieve operational KPI's and service performance goals to customers.
  • Liaise with Regional and Global Planners to ensure actions are executed as planned
Supply Planning

  • Using Starboard, be the interface with Global Deployment Planners to get information on product availability, and shortage root causes. Use said information to manage backorder reporting, including the communication to the Customer Service, Marketing and sales teams.
  • Using Starboard, engage with the Global Supply Planning organization on management of product supply shortages and country resolution and recovery plans.
  • Analyse Starboard, communicate revenue risks to Business/Country Business Leaders, and work to mitigate revenue risks through market shaping activities.
  • Be responsible for executing & facilitating incountry allocation decisions in line with Business objectives.
  • Routinely review and measure Key KPI metrics (FA, BO, OTIF, DIO as examples), providing demand related drivers of failures.
