Contact Phone: A highly regarded client in the private banking space is expanding their algorithmic trading capabilities, and looking for an experienced data engineer to support the growth.

Job responsibilities:

Work on the architecture for the firm's data platform and analytics, including developing of the data lake and warehouse, data flow and automations
Testing and deployment of algorithms for use cases in financial markets
Automate and improve the performance of quantitative models

Requirements:

Minimally a Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field (e.g. Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology)
8 or more years of work experience as a developer or data architect with experience in the financial industry
Deep expertise in one of the Cloud platforms is required (Azure, GCP, AWS)
Strong programming abilities in Python, Scala, Java. Knowledge of C++, C# or Haskell is a plus.
Knowledge of Spark, Databricks and Kafka.

Please note that this is a third-party contractual role for a start, with likelihood of conversion to permanent based on performance.
