Job Dimension

  • Perform accounting and reporting requirements of the Singapore office in accordance with the TotalEnergies Group and T&S standards and procedures, local and various regulations (i.e., Global Trader Programme ('GTP'), tax, SOX, IFRS / FRS and statutory audit etc.)
  • Constant interaction within the team and other departments of the entity/group affiliates in Geneva, US, Paris and other parts of the world

Activities

  • Check and post all approved general administration invoices and employee claims timely and accurately
  • Ensure costs allocation ratio is reasonable and up to date for the different business segments and trading books
  • Ensure all accounting activities for monthly, quarterly and annual closing are completed timely and accurately
  • Monitor and follow up on accruals and provisions periodically with the respective departments
  • Responsible for the accounting records of all general administration costs in the Singapore Office
  • Responsible for the recording and justification of accruals for any general administration costs
  • Responsible for monitoring the accuracy of intercompany reinvoicing transactions
  • Responsible for preparation of tax computation, Goods and Services Tax returns and reports required under the company's membership of the Global Trade Programme
  • Coordinate and prepare the reinvoicing and issuance of invoices and debit/credit notes for intercompany charges across the different group affiliates on hosting services, services provided or service performed on behalf
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate financial records to prepare monthly full set of accounts and year end statutory financial statements for various stakeholders (local management and Geneva Finance teams, T&S management, external auditors)
  • Reconcile monthly, quarterly and annual intercompany transactions between Singapore office and other affiliate entities/banks
  • Ensure complete and accurate recording and declaration of GST and Withholding tax for general administration to the Singapore tax authority (IRAS)
  • Involve in internal and external audits. Assist in preparing documents for annual audits and liaising with auditors
  • Preparation of budget, management and other internal reports e.g., variance analysis of the various monthly/quarterly overhead costs and during budgeting process, using graphs, charts and pivot tables
  • Prepare and submit all surveys from Government authorities (Department of Statistics, Enterprise Singapore, Monetary Authority of Singapore), within the specified deadline.
  • Special focus on ensuring that the company's accounting records are compliant with the requirements of the company's membership of the Global Trader Programme ('GTP') and accurately reflect in the annual tax computation
  • Liaison with and the ability to maintain a productive and professional relationship across various departments and around different colleagues handling different roles within the company, to ensure that the daily work process is efficient
  • Communication with Geneva and US office for financial reporting guidance and sharing; and with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors and Government authorities
  • Complete special projects as assigned

  • The jobholder is to support the General Manager, Finance to effectively controlling and ensuring correct accounting treatment of the trading and business activity of the company

Context and environment

  • Activity particularly increases around monthend, quarterend, financial yearend and during the statutory audit
  • TTA supports TotalEnergies' Group Asian marketing activities in addition to international trading and marketing with TOTSA in Fuel Oil, Mid-Distillates, Gasoline, Naphtha, LPG, Crude Oil Products and Petrochemicals

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent (Bac + 3) with recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant or ACCA membership)
  • Minimum 2 years' of managing full set of financial records
  • Good knowledge of BI tools (Power BI)
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python is a plus
  • Strong Excel and VBA proficiency is a must

  • Meticulous, professional, responsible, efficient, able to work both independently and as a team player within / with other departments and management, demonstrates good communication skills and pays close attention to details
