Overall Job Responsibility:


You will be part of the Enabling Village Division that brings together like-minded stakeholders, community and corporate partners to drive inclusion and build community connectedness for persons with disabilities and their caregivers within Enabling Village.

Enabling Village (EV) is the first inclusive community space dedicated to integrating persons with disabilities into the society.

While EV has served its business and communal objectives, SG Enable aspires to better support the disability sector by expanding the range of services for persons with disabilities and caregivers, and involving the community/ corporates in this meaningful journey through a 4-storey building extension, targeted to be completed by end 2024.

We are seeking passionate individuals to work with us in fulfilling our impact.


The Assistant Director will:

  • Formulate, implement and review the strategic plans of EV in support of SG Enable's mission and vision
  • Develop and execute strategies to engage and communicate with external stakeholders, including tenants and programme partners, and organise programmes/ events to promote the integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the community
  • Develop tenant mix, oversee tenancy and leases for EV
  • Evaluate impact and effectiveness of projects undertaken, and track key performance indicators

Duties and Responsibilities:


Programming and Partnership
-
Create programme partnerships with various stakeholders, including but not limited to tenants and programme partners of the Enabling Village

  • Plan and activate spaces to connect people of all abilities in and around Enabling Village
  • Curate and oversee the development of inclusive programmes and offer new opportunities and experiences with strategic partners to deliver greater impact
  • Guide the team to curate stories for Enabling Village to inspire and advocate for disability inclusion to build a more inclusive society through Enabling Village

Tenancy Management

  • Plan and implement tenant mix that contribute to the vision of Enabling Village and maximise footfall
  • Develop, implement and review rental framework
  • Review tenancy strategies, including contract terms, conditions and performance indicators to ensure terms are relevant in meeting the corporate objectives
  • Prepare periodic reports to update management, and other stakeholders

Others

  • Conduct studies and evaluate impact and effectiveness of projects undertaken, and track key performance indicators
  • Lead the team to prepare, call, and evaluate Requests for Proposals and Tenders, in line with existing corporate governance rules and finance directives, for onward submission to Evaluation Committee
  • Assist in the Division's budget and workplans so as to ensure that the goals and KPIs set are on track
  • Undertake other roles as and when required

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:


  • Diploma or Degree holder in any discipline
  • At least 15 years of work experience, with at least 10 years' experience in relevant field and experience in managing a team
  • Demonstrated significant experience in programme and partnership development, tenancy management and stakeholder's engagement
  • Must possess strong negotiation, interpersonal, listening and consultative skills, with the ability to write and present well, and articulate ideas clearly
  • Good process and project management, yet highly adaptive to a dynamic environment and resourceful in problem solving
  • Able to contribute as part of a team, while working independently on individual responsibilities with minimum supervision
  • Interest and experience in the social sector would be an advantage
