About the role:


We are looking for a seasoned Executive Director (ED) to join our APAC Business Development team focusing on growing our eCommerce and Telecom, Media, Telecom (TMT) franchise.

The Payments Business Development Manager (PBD) will have responsibility for the growing the Payments business for the TMT segment.

The Payments Business Development Manager will collaborate and partner closely with the Banking and Product leaders to integrate and develop comprehensive strategies to grow our revenue.

This person will lead proactive client pursuits, collaborate with internal partners, and develop compelling payments solutions to meet the strategic needs of our TMT clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Achieve new business goals primarily by identifying prospects and new sales opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership to TMT clients and within the Firm on all things happening in the Technology space, what is the ecosystem thinking about, where is it evolving and how does Payments fit into it.
  • Execute sales strategy in conjunction with other LOB's including, Global Corporate Bank and, Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Credit, Legal and other areas to optimize product and service delivery in order to win and implement new opportunities
  • Maximize JPMorgan Payments profitability with clients through aggressive pricing of new business wins, product extensions, and crossselling other JPM products
  • Implement and support ongoing client strategy and coordinate crosssell opportunities with other parts of CIB
  • Provide compelling financial and market analysis to support financial proposals for new business
  • Leverage expert crossfunctional business knowledge, financial acumen, strong internal relationships, and exceptional leadership skills to make significant and impactful decisions
  • Represent the \"voice of the client\" for the segments and manage revenue vulnerability and client loss through a deep understanding of the client's needs and identification of product and service delivery gaps
  • Possess an understanding of the business including financial performance benchmarks, key challenges, and opportunities, and the competitive landscape
  • Be a strategic thinker who supports the goals and direction of JPM Payments and the firm
  • Demonstrate best in class communication skills, including influencing, negotiation and collaboration
  • Participate in external industry events to ensure market visibility for the JPM franchise with identified market segment.

Qualifications:


  • 10 or more years experience in a sales role focused on Payments in the Technology, Media, Telecom and eCommerce sector
  • Proven track record of originating new clients and deals with the ability to carry conversations at all levels and multiple parts of a client's organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deepen senior client relationships
  • Deep knowledge of payments ecosystem covering transaction banking, merchant acquiring, FX and working capital
  • Ability to identify new prospects, build pipeline and execute new sales
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to optimize working capital levels across the organization
  • Must have strong leadership, presentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • International experience preferred but not required
  • Up to 50% travel across Asia Pacific and other regions as required
