JOB DESCRIPTION:


We are looking for a Strategic Sales Manager to join our global non-hotel sales team, within the Beyond the Bed (BTB) division of Hotelbeds.

The mission of the BTB division is to source and distribute incipient product verticals like Experiences (incl. Activities, Tours, Attraction Tickets), Ground Transportation (Transfers and Car Rental), and Cruises (Ocean and River).

We upsell these products to the Hotelbeds client base, which is the world's largest B2B travel distribution network with over 60,000 hard-to-access global travel industry leaders across the Tour Operator, Travel Agency, Airline, and Online Travel Agency space.

As a Strategic Sales Manager, you will be key to the execution of our vision to enable our partners to realize their connected trip strategy, which consists of creating a unique booking platform whereby technology allows for multiple points of sale throughout the customer journey across several product categories.


As a Strategic Sales Manager, you will have the responsibility to manage the end-2-end relationship with strategic clients in the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America.

For the role, you can be home based in any of the main customer countries, or in our regional head office in Cancun, Mexico.

The products that we distribute are undergoing an exciting phase of transformation from offline to online-driven distribution.

This presents a great opportunity for you to develop your sales qualities in an entrepreneurial environment, but also your analytical capabilities by identifying business development and conversion opportunities.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up the annual client portfolio strategy for your region in line with the company ́s strategic initiatives and threeyear plan
  • Create an account management roadmap to optimize the core clients in your portfolio, and execute it in conjunction with the clients
  • Develop an understanding of the clients' tech platform capabilities and consult them on the key conversion drivers and tech solutions across the customer journey
  • Define the new client acquisition plan for your region and report on quarterly progress to the BTB Senior Management Team
  • Identify the sales targets together with the Global Head of Sales, Strategy, and Finance teams and deliver on quarterly objectives
  • Set up a business development plan for your region; identifying the key business issues & opportunities through a deep analysis of client needs, market trends, competitors' outlook, and performance trends

Skills:


  • Strong ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders both externally (Customer ́s Head of Sourcing and CEOs) and internally (e.g. Sourcing and Executive Leadership Team)
  • Excellent commercial acumen, problemsolving, and ability to maneuver through high uncertainty and constant change
  • Solid analytical, creative thinking, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to synthesize complex topics into actionable insights for customers and senior stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to bring innovative ideas about potential diversification/innovation opportunities

Experience:


  • Experience in a sales function; preferably in the travel industry
  • Additional experience in a business analyst and or technology role is highly valued
  • Bachelor degree
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of the Experiences (incl. Activities, Tours, Attraction Tickets) and Ground Transportation (Transfers and Car Rental) industries is highly valued
