Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • The individual will execute on a global strategy, based on an understanding of the business and market dynamics, as well a client needs, and opportunities. The individual will need to align with global and regional plans across our network order to drive the most effective outcome.
  • Given the fastpaced nature of this industry and business, this position holder must naturally embrace change and pivot strategy and approach accordingly.

Business

  • We are looking for a senior marketer with a deep understanding of B2B marketing and the way in which MNC's and Global Financial Institutions operate, their influencers, their decision makers and personas, their banking requirements and needs. You will have a proven ability to drill into client segmentation, client mapping, and client behaviours and translate these insights into meaningful and impactful integrated marketing strategies and programs, driven by effective client targeting, measured through agreed client outcomes and success metrics.
  • Recommends the most appropriate channels across paid, owned and earn media to be leveraged on based on campaign objectives the Bank's business goals. Keeps abreast of emerging campaign trends the Bank can leverage on for better physical, digital and/or phygital campaign engagement. Provides strategic guidance on the methods of monetising direct and indirect data sources

Processes

  • Build relationships and networks across the business and liaise with key business stakeholders on a regular basis to understand their specific needs, the clients they serve, and the opportunities that exist.
  • Develop transformational marketing strategies that puts client data, analytics and insights at the centre, with clear articulation of how marketing is supporting specific business outcomes.
  • Drive implementation of plans with clearly defined commercial returns with metrics and tracking that support these opportunities, leading periodic reviews and updates with senior business stakeholders.
  • Develop measurement frameworks, metrics and KPIs that ensure marketing strategies are effective and impactful and that we're garnering increased insight around the ways that clients interact with us and the business and relationship impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement in marketing programs as market conditions evolve. Led by creative, innovative ideas and a desire to think outside the box.
  • Develops measurements and implements standards to evaluate channel effectiveness, balancing customer needs and the Bank's business strategies
  • Reviews ROI of customer acquisition tools and digital channels.

People & Talent

  • Drive impactful engagement between Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing central teams and the regional teams, ensuring regional plans roll up to support the overall global business goals for CCIB '
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation within the team and across the organisation

Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's brand, marketing, and communications policies
  • Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct and various Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines of the Bank
  • Ensure compliance with Third Party Risk Management, and Vendor Engagement and Sponsorship policies
  • Ensure integrated marketing (and social media marketing) strategy complies with regional/local legal and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for delivering effective governance of the marketing team, capability to challenge fellow executives effectively, and willingness to work with any regional/local regulators in an open and cooperative manner
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business; oversee changes in this area, and how digital marketing affects these processes
  • Work closely with the Media, Reputation & Issues team to mitigate any reputational risks possible from digital marketing campaigns, and community initiatives

Governance

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Ensure that Group and regulatory expectations are effectively communicated and met across the entire CABM business
  • Where applicable, ensure credit, operational, legal, regulatory, reputation, compliance are held to the highest standards of risk management (at a product and enterprise level as relevant)
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
