About the role


We are looking for a
Principal Advisor, Market Risk (Performance Analysis and Transformation) as part of the efforts to build out the Market Risk Management Framework.

The role will work very closely with the Risk team, Sales & Marketing, Digital and Finance teams.

Reporting to the Management Analysis and Change Manager, you will:

  • Support transformation efforts to establish certain middle office processes, policies, procedures and support the build out the market risk management framework for commercial.
  • Perform centralised function of risk and reward analysis in the middle office.
  • Deliver high quality analysis to management and coordinate associated inputs.
  • Lead assigned new business analysis, integration, or small transformation projects where necessary.
  • Be an integral part of a highly motivated team.

What you will need for the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:


  • Degree qualifications.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, demonstrating indepth experience and expertise in middle office and risk processes.
  • Practical experience with process changes or systems projects in a middle office and risk environment, within a commodity trading business with physical and derivatives trading.
  • Aptitude for data analytics in reporting and analysis processes.
  • Strong background in product control or risk management in a commodity trading business with physical and derivatives trading, with firm grasp of value drivers, trading contribution and associated risks.
  • Business partnering skills.
  • Strong bias for continuous improvement and learning.
