Overview of Sustainability Group

1) Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy Role
The Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy team within the Sustainability Group is responsible for setting Temasek's strategy in driving total impact across the institution, portfolio, and ecosystem

This involves:

Advancing strategy and policy towards net zero, nature positive and inclusive growth;
Understanding and keeping abreast with the broader sustainability context, evolving regulatory and market expectations, as well as resulting implications for Temasek as an investor;
Partnering with internal functional teams to advance our sustainability practices as a firm, and raising awareness of sustainability issues through our staff engagement activities; and Engaging our portfolio companies on topofmind sustainability topics to build capacity and resiliency.

Roles and Responsibilities

Curate activities and support implementation for our internal staff engagement programme on sustainability (Project GO)
Curate and publish our internal monthly sustainability newsletter (Spotlight on Sustainability)
Support the planning and execution of key engagement platforms for our portfolio companies and highlevel sustainability advisors
Support research relating to topical trends or global conferences, e.g. Diversity & Inclusion, Nature, UNFCCC COP, CBD COP, etc.
Support the preparation of sustainabilityrelated disclosures
Other institutional sustainability projects, as required

Qualifications / Requirements

Pursuing a degree in sustainability management, sustainable finance, business and/or communications is highly preferred
Strong interest in sustainability, environmental and social issues
Strong strategy, analytical, project management and presentation skills
Good communicator in both written and oral communication, with an eye for detail
Creative, forwardlooking and resultsoriented, with a focus on execution
Ability to learn and thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment

2) Sustainable Solutions Role
The Sustainable Solutions team within the Sustainability Group is responsible for catalysing new business opportunities and solutions that contribute to sustainable development and create positive impact for our communities

This involves:

Catalysing decarbonisation solutions that will accelerate the decarbonisation of Temasek's portfolio in alignment with Temasek 2030 and 2050 portfolio decarbonisation targets, and

Roles and Responsibilities

Support the team to catalyse solutions to decarbonise the Temasek portfolio in multiple clean energy sectors. Solutions will largely focus on technology innovation, but may also include ecosystem enabling initiatives, and/or policy and regulation proposals.
Research and analyse new technology areas focusing on decarbonisation trends, policy and regulatory developments, market and commercial drivers to distill actionable insights for the wider Temasek Ecosystem
Engage team stakeholders to validate problem statements (as needed)

Qualifications / Requirements

Knowledgeable about clean energy technologies and/or markets, driven by a strong work ethic
Familiarity with technoeconomic modelling and financial modelling will be advantageous
Ability to navigate and coordinate across diverse stakeholders, with strong people skills
Creative, forwardlooking, organised, with good attention to detail, and resultsoriented
Good communicator in both written and oral communication
Passionate about creating positive, sustainable climate impact
