We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)/DevOps Associate/Engineer to join our Technology team, focusing on enhancing the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our Payment Applications and Products through automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, and resilient systems and services
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure operational requirements are considered and implemented during the development lifecycle
Automate repetitive tasks and optimize system performance through scripting and other automation tools
Participate in incident management, postmortem analysis, and system recovery processes
Provide maintenance support by investigating and rectifying reported system shortcomings
Analyze requests for enhancements/changes and write specifications for system improvements
Cloud services and infrastructure management on platforms such as AWS
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation
Monitoring and logging tools such as Newrelic, Grafana or similar
Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks
Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI

Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent with functional knowledge and coding experience
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation and tooling
Familiar with microservice and REST API design concept
Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets and business goals
Strong communication and analytical skills
Demonstrate drive and passion to learn new technology skills and able to work independently
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, ECS) is highly desirable
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation is a plus
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and practices for automating deployment and system updates
Prior exposure to the Fintech industry and understanding of its challenges and regulatory environment is an added advantage.
