What the role is
What you will be working on
- This includes media and publicity plans to profile and position the SAF as a professional and credible organisation, and to engender commitment to defence amongst the internal tribe. In times of crisis, you are expected to coordinate with relevant agencies and develop joint responses, often within a short time (hours to days). Due to the fluid nature of communications work, you can expect the job to be of high tempo during peak periods.
What we are looking for
- You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Communications, Psychology, International Relations or Social Sciences or related field. 1 to 3 years' relevant work experience in Corporate Communications, Crisis Communications or Media Management is preferred. A strong command of spoken and written English with good problem solving skills and good interpersonal skills. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
