We have a growth target, and this role is vital to support the advisory across security domain and delivery from a technical leadership standpoint.

As a

_Senior Security_ Consultant, you will be a skilled industry expert developing and delivering customer security solutions that enable our customers business objectives that contribute to the team achieving the security revenue.

You will also help presales specialists in advanced technical conversations on fully qualified opportunities and enable the Sales Team to meet defined targets.


Key Responsibilities:
General

  • Consultant across
  • Identify (Consulting knowledge on the security gaps of an organization through assessment)
  • Prevent/Protect (Deployment Knowledge on various security solutions)
  • Detect & Monitor (Security operations knowledge)
  • Up to date with the latest trends
Pre-Sales

  • Sales and target driven, help with technical proposals, work closely with Lead/Senior consultant to meet and exceed sales target.
  • Help bring together proposals and Scope of work document.
  • Great communication skills with technical and business stakeholders to quickly understand the problems from customer and able to drive solutions for customers.
  • Handson skills for implementing the proposed solutions and even small PoCs to prove the concept.
Delivery

  • Build out the technical design, security deployment methodology and architecture
  • Work with teams to understand the security needs and to ensure these are embedded in every solution deployed by Telstra Purple teams.
  • Document security architecture and ensure it is up to date.
  • Have experience in security implementation across enterprise platforms like IaaS, PaaS (Platform services) like web app, Azure SQL, event hubs, stream analytics, document DB etc.
  • Familiar with serverless technologies like Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of systems infrastructure, networking, monitoring, and supporting tooling.
  • Certifications with Azure will be highly regarded.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the following:

Experience of Microsoft integrations:

  • IAM
  • Azure Active Directory/ Microsoft Entra


  • Threat Management

  • Microsoft 365 Defender [ Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for O365, Defender for Cloud Apps] and Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Information Protection, and data loss prevention infrastructures and techniques
  • Broad understanding of Data Governance and Data Protection concepts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, AIP
  • Understanding of the business, privacy, security, and compliance challenges surrounding Data Protection.


  • SIEM

  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Cloud Security Posture Assessment, Compliance Assessments, Regulatory Assessments

Preferred Certifications (at least 2):

  • MS500: Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate
  • AZ500 Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
  • SC200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
  • SC300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
  • SC900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
