Manager / Senior Manager, Compensation, HRFA
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Office of Human Resources & Faculty Administration (HRFA).
- Work closely with the Head of Compensation & Benefits to develop and review compensation strategies, policies and guidelines, ensuring relevance and competitiveness while maintaining internal equity.
- Conduct regular job evaluations and salary benchmarking exercises, and provide analysis to support recommendations on compensation structure.
- Involved heavily in the salary benchmarking, annual increment and bonus, promotions, sales. incentives design and computation, job evaluation and benefits evaluation.
- Analyse data on salaries; Evaluate the competitiveness of the University's pay structure against the industry and make recommendations on improvements to its policies and practices.
- Participate in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits.
- Support compensation and mobility matters of SMU overseas centres in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
- Be involved in various HR projects (including but not limited to ITrelated projects) to review and recommend enhancements in C&B programmes, in line with the University's strategic goals and objectives.
- Any other duties/ projects as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant C&B experience in medium to large matrixed organizations for "Manager, Compensation". Those with at least 8 years of relevant C&B experience may be considered for "Senior Manager, Compensation".
- Strong experience in managing salary reviews, performance bonuses, sales incentive schemes and promotions.
- Good Knowledge of, and strong experience in SAP HR Module. Familiarity with Workday or Oracle HR/ Compensation modules would be an added advantage.
- Numerically inclined with strong analytical thinking ability; proactive and is attentive to details, with the ability to multitask and work independently with mínimal supervision, within short timeframes.
- Experience in Hay Job Evaluation methodology would be an added advantage.
- Selfdriven team player with good interpersonal and communication (both written & spoken) skills.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws. Some knowledge/experience in regional compensation/mobility would be an added advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is an important prerequisite.
