Purpose:


To analyse the Carbon Credit market and develop a strategy to create the opportunity for Group Companies to leverage the financial value of credits/offsets in their respective business models.


Key Responsibilities:


Primary Responsibilities 2023:


  • Research methodology for the creation of carbon credits and offsets in the respective business models of Group Companies;
  • Plan and project carboncredit services to be provided to Group Company'scustomers;
  • Identify and seek new businesses in the carbon service and offset project market;
  • Lead or support carbon credits portfolio, carbon sustainability verification projects for Group Companies;
  • Research and monitor carbon industrial information, carbon policies of specific countries, and relevant commercial opportunities and provide quarterly reports to Leadership Team.

Additional Responsibilities 2024:


Develop and execute a corporate sustainability strategy and initiatives:

  • Implementing frameworks and suggestions as to how to contribute to the UN SDGs
  • Identify ESG metrics to monitor;
  • Initiate Sustainability quarterly reporting to the Leadership Team

Calculate the carbon footprint of Group Companies and Products according to relevant government requirements, standards, and protocols. (ISO14064, GHG Protocol, etc.)

  • Calculations of scope 1, 2, 3 emissions.

Managing the organisation's sustainability programs and (multi-country) initiatives.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to advance our sustainability goals and projects

Job requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in sustainability advisory with a track record of delivering practical solutions to clients on sustainability improvements in their business
  • Broad experience and knowledge of different sustainability reporting frameworks in the market
  • Knowledge of registry requirements (CDM, VCS, GS standards, etc.), project methodologies, international governance frameworks;
  • Existing network within the carbon relevant market (carbon standards institutes, carbon offsets & credits marketplaces;
  • Project management skills, selfinitiative, and ability to work independently;
  • Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written skills;
  • Demonstrate successful experience in working with corporate clients and research institutions;
  • Strong project planning skills with the ability to work of multiple projects and initiatives involving multiple senior stakeholders;
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.
