Description
The Rooms Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of a hotel's housekeeping department.

This role involves assisting housekeeping staff in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and common areas, delivering requested items to guests, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

The Rooms Runner will report to the Executive Housekeeper or it's designate.

  • Restock guest room supplies such as room amenities, towels, toiletries, and linens as needed.
  • Maintain and organize supply carts and storage areas to ensure efficient access to necessary items.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for extra amenities, such as towels, blankets, or toiletries.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms in a timely manner while adhering to hotel policies and maintaining guest privacy.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues, damage, or any other concerns and report them to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
  • Notify the housekeeping department of any unusual or suspicious activities observed during rounds.
  • Maintain open communication with the front desk and housekeeping team to coordinate tasks and prioritize room cleaning assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, addressing their needs and inquiries with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist with special housekeeping projects or tasks as required.

  • Ability to multitask and work independently/ in teams, in a complex environment
  • Displays initiative, Meticulous and serviceoriented with a good sense of humour
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and communicate with personnel from all levels
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hotel's operational needs.
