DRW NX is looking for a talented Network Infrastructure Architect to join the Network Services and Operations (NSO) team. You'll have the opportunity to work on the fastest network in the world, experiment with the latest technologies and be a pioneer in the networking industry. You'll be part of a driven and dynamic global team, focusing on managing, improving and monitoring a global cutting-edge network.

As a Network Infrastructure Architect for DRW, you will have two main mandates:

Supporting our global infrastructure with a focus on low latency including:Providing operational support for our global wireless and wired high-performance network environmentsDiagnose and solve network related issues and outagesProactively identifying enhancements to existing configurations, technologies and procedures to improve performanceOperating and provisioning monitoring and telemetry systems where applicableContributing to the documentation of network processes, systems and configurationsParticipate in network change and code reviews

Work on team and department projects such as:New network, colocation or path onboardingNew telecom link deliveryNew monitoring solutionsNew automation projectsLiaise with our internal project team and external service providers for maintenance supportAutomate repetitive tasks and day to day network processes using ad-hoc script or a framework

What you bring to the team:

At least 2 to 4 years of experience in networking ideally for large enterprise or low latency environments

Knowledge of network and infrastructure operations

Knowledge of incident and change management lifecycles

Knowledge of WAN, LAN, and datacenter network architectures

Knowledge of switching, routing

In depth knowledge of Linux

Able to operate or set up network and infrastructure monitoring framework

Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

Ability to work independently and be part of a global team

A high level of energy and a passion for creativity and innovation

Willingness to work on weekends as part of a maintenance support rotation

Excellent verbal/written communication skills and documentation/knowledge management skills

Bonus points for:

Experience with point to point wireless networks and knowledge of RF principles

Experience working on low latency or trading networks

Hands on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible

Hands on experience working with containerization (Docker or others)

Hands on experience with cloud services (AWS)

Coding experience in Python, Go or similar coding language

Hands on experience with TICK stack (Telegraf / Influx)
