Roles & Responsibilities
2 Temporary Staff (Research Assistant) to provide data analysis and support for research project

Employment start date:3rd July 2023 to 29th September 2023 -
3 months

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm, Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

(a) Summarising research articles / book chapters / web information into a literature review in English, with compilation of all research articles / web pages reviewed (hardcopy and bibliography)

(b) Collating of survey responses and transcribing of interviews conducted with school personnel / students

(c) Coding and organizing discussion points from video interviews with students and school personnel

(d) Analysis of data collected (e.g., using data analysis software like Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Gephi) and data visualization (e.g., presenting data in graphical format)

Minimally qualifications, skills and experience:

Degree in Psychology or Special Education, or related (year 2 and above undergraduates may apply)
Previous research experience or strong interest in research
Proficiency in transcribing, coding and organizing discussion points from video interviews with students and school personnel
Experience in data analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, Gephi etc. for quantitative data analysis (i.e., survey data)
Experience and/or interest in qualitative analysis such as thematic coding
Experience and/or interest in conducting literature review
Familiarity and/or interest in social network analysis
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
