Description

Kafka Engineer has a combination of technical skills, communication skills and domain knowledge primarily in banking with excellent technical skills on Apache/Confluent Kafka, programming languages such as Java & React.

**Responsibilities

Handle the setup, configuration, and management of Kafka clusters, including topics creation, broker configuration, security configuration, and monitoring. Responsible for optimizing Kafka performance, scalability, and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to Kafka infrastructure, such as bottlenecks, data loss, or latency problems. Perform performance tuning to optimize Kafka clusters and ensure efficient data processing and messaging.

Create topics, setup and configure Kafka cluster, deploy monitoring tools, alerts and has good knowledge on best practices around Kafka ecosystem

Requirements:
Expertise in Java programming and React
Expertise in administration of Kafka brokers, Zookeepers, KSQL and KStream
Hands on experience working with Kafka connect and schema registry in a high environment.
Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning.
Knowledge of agile tools and methodologies. Experience in CI/CD, DevOps tool chain, GIT and Jira.
Min 5+ year of experience is preferred in technology and relevant domain requirements.
