Would you like to be part of an exciting and dynamic team that owns communications for Intel in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ)? The APJ Corporate Communications Manager role is part of Intel's Global Communications Group (GCG), where you will closely collaborate with Tech Comms, Employee Communications, Government Affairs, Corporate Strategy, as well as the local teams to drive awareness and belief in Intel's corporate transformation and strategy for long-term growth with major media outlets across the APJ region.


This is a strategic role that requires strong decision making and the drive to be bold and take risks, using all the resources at your disposal to help promote and protect Intel's reputation with a focus on APJ.

You'll use your business acumen and understanding of industry trends to act as strategic counsel for senior business executives in the region to deliver creative communication campaigns aligned with local external stakeholders including customers, government and others.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver creative communication campaigns and events tailored for the APJ region that deliver on Intel's reputation goals.
  • Monitor and manage the company's reputation in APJ, proactively identifying potential issues or risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Plan, prepare, and disseminate information and materials intended for public release (e.g., news releases) to ensure they represent the best interests of the company, investors, employees and are consistent with established company's communications objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues to identify opportunities for proactive engagement and thought leadership.
  • Be the internal expert, consultant, and program/project manager and represent the company to external groups, agencies, and vendors.
  • Think strategically and play an integral role in creating thought leadership campaigns highlighting Intel's innovation and technology leadership.
  • Develop and drive 'quick twitch' ideas that insert Intel into relevant news cycles.
  • Be a source of knowledge and a trusted advisor to your team and colleagues.
  • Collaborate, brief, and manage Intel's agencies to maximize results and ensure consistency across APJ.

Qualifications:


Preferred Education Background:

  • Degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related areas.
  • Minimum of 810 years' experience in public relations, external communications, corporate communications, writing and editing either inhouse or agency side

Ideal Experience:


  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior executives, providing counsel and executing with a sense of urgency as a key partner.
  • Conflict management, ability to defuse difficult situations and resolve issues in constructive ways.
  • Ability to think strategically and ensure relevancy by "connectingthedots" and effectively map Intel's business objectives to conversations in the marketplace.
  • Proven experience of, and the ability to be a confident and capable storyteller
  • Customer and team oriented. Ability to build strong relationships and successfully partner with peers across Intel, other industry players as well as governmental organizations.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and can craft and deliver key messages for a variety of audiences through highly effective presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Is adept at translating technical topics into easytounderstand and relevant language.
  • Able to identify and leverage opportunities to advance the company's communications objectives in creative, memorable ways that utilizes a variety of media vehicles social media, traditional media, broadcast, etc.
