Your role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to manage a team of tech engineers, building next generation automation and event monitoring products for IT Operations.
Your role will require you to:
Manage the cross functional, cross regional team of tech engineers in IT Operations Automation and Nextgen Observability projects
Act as people and development manager to your team members. You will be managing their work, mentoring them for growth and career progression
As a culture carrier, you will be required to connect to wider UBS community of guilds beyond the borders of your function, socializing and enabling the capabilities offered by Automation Services products
Support and enable team with new emerging practices, learning opportunities
Perform product management responsibilities throughout product lifecycle stages, right from inception till development and deployment

Your team

AIOps engineering is an IT Operations automation tower of Automation Services complex.
We engineer and enable suit of tools and capabilities in the areas of Enterprise Log Management, IT Automation, AI in Operational data analytics and event monitoring.

Your expertise

Deep understanding of the software development craft, with focus on cloud based, onprem event monitoring (Azure Monitoring, SCOM, Elastic Beats, Loom, Big Panda etc.)
Experience delivering solutions using industry standard technologies such as JIRA, Gitlab and CI/CD pipelines
Handson experience of Agile software development practices and methodologies, especially SCRUM
Strong sense of continual improvement to enable the adoption and effective usage of the products / capabilities engineered by your team
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous project deliverables with stringent timelines
Ability to communicate effectively within team, across teams and in larger stakeholder community, facilitate technical & managerial discussions
Effective team player with leadership skills, who is able to work in collaboration with cross regional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills and desire to work as a part of global team
