Food & Beverage Supervisor in

Because, for this vital role, we're looking for someone who can:


Financial returns:

  • Assist Restaurant Manager in driving promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at a good value.
  • Assisting the Restaurant Manager in placing orders to vendors and compute costs for each beverage, ingredient, supply or other materials.
  • Guests are conversed with in relation to the food and beverage products
  • Beverages are upsold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations
  • Promoting and selling cocktails to guests
  • Recycles whereever possible and enforces cost saving measures to staff

People:

  • Communicates to his / her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
  • Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
  • Ensuring team members are current on product knowledge, product offerings and promotions.
  • Educate and train all team members in compliance with Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong standards and policies. Ensure staff is properly trained on quality and service standards, has the necessary tools and equipment, and is empowered to carry out job duties.

Guest experience:

  • Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
  • Works with Superior and Human Resource Manager to ensure the departmental performance of staff is productive

Duties include:

  • Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintains a record of progress for each staff member
  • Provide input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines
  • Ensure new staff attend Corporate Orientation within first month of hire
  • Coach, counsel and discipline staff in breach of hotel policies and departmental procedures, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance
  • Provides prompt, courteous customer service by discovering customer needs and management support, by ensuring that every experience will be _fast, friendly, and delicious._
  • Ensure that all food and beverage facilities including banquet/convention space are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.

Responsible business:

  • Food and beverage stock is stored in relation to hotel procedures
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same
  • Ensure the security and proper storage of food and beverage products, inventory and equipment, and replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste.
  • Ensuring all Electrical equipment's and gadgets for use during operations are in right quantity and in good working order.
  • Manages time to ensure that the priority of the activities determines the amount of time and attention received. This includes coordinating daily activities to maximize productivity, keeping selffocused on the priorities for the day and avoiding being sidetracked by less important tasks and activities.
  • Recognizes and resolves problems. Seeks, examines, and interprets information from different sources to determine cause and develop solutions. This includes selecting the best course of action and recognizing when outside advice is needed.

Qualifications and Requirements


High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field, with 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
