What the role is

As an MOM officer, you will get to work in a range of exciting areas to help the Ministry attain its goals, including manpower policy, industrial relations, workplace safety and foreign employment regulation. The officer will have opportunities to work with a wide array of data to provide insights to our stakeholders and collaborate with other public agencies on joint-research projects.

Beyond this, the individual will also be part of the analytics team which coordinate, strategize, and develop department's data science capabilities.

What you will be working on

Generate statistical insights to support policy formulation/programme evaluation
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create data solutions to suit their business needs
Research and develop data analytics/machine learning models to solve business problems
Manage structured and unstructured data for curation of data in department's data warehouse
Review existing machine learning models to improve their accuracy and efficiency
Able to think outofthebox and come out with innovation solutions

What we are looking for

Tertiary qualification in the following discipline: Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Math
Sound knowledge in programming language such as R/Python
Good communicator and team player
