Senior Manager - Tuas, Singapore - Alcon
Description
Establish and lead a team of dedicated associates in the area of filling and compounding providing direction, support, management presence and as point of escalation for matters related to safety, quality & productivity.
- Motivate subordinates at all levels and delegate sufficient authority and responsibilities to enable them to achieve their respective goals and desired results.
- Define annual goals and develop long and shortterm plan for manufacturing team in alignment with company objectives, operating policies and plans.
- Support the development of annual budget of manufacturing function.
- Responsible for meeting financial objectives for the department for both Filling and Compounding.
- Operate and monitor all equipment associated with manufacturing of ophthalmic products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Execute activities in support of continues improvement & validation state.
- Perform and review all necessary documentation as required and in accordance to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) that includes MBR, deviation, training & other related production and maintenance records.
- Assist in investigation of process deviations and work in a team to identify and work on opportunities for productivity/process improvements.
- Critically review operations for ways to improve regulatory compliance, aseptic techniques, product quality and/or productivity.
- Sustains robust succession plans for operations.
- Creates environment of accountability ownership, trust, assures clarity and open twoway communication, and fosters a speakup mentality.
- Ensure effective resource planning, participates in the recruitment, training and assessment of manufacturing staff.
- Manage any adhoc project / activities as and when assigned.
- Development of people and capability in close collaboration with Training team.
Requirements:
- 15 years Engineering or Manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical or relevant industry with minimum 10 years of supervisory experience.
- Competency in Conflict Management, Customer Focus, Directing Others, Empathy, Managing Diversity, Learning on the fly, Managerial Courage, Drive for result, Building effective teams, Timely decision making.
