About the Role:

The role is aimed to support the toys production process by scouting for new materials, studying innovative technologies or manufacturing processes and implementing it into end-to-end process management.

Main Responsibilities:

Scout for new materials (e.g. plastic resins, inks, paper, sustainable materials, etc.), innovative technologies or manufacturing processes, with the purpose of implementation into Kinder Toys Production
Monitor the market, searching for new applicable trends to define new opportunities area and act as a subject matter expert in cutting edge technologies
Provide due diligence related to technologies proposed for the key priority streams
Coordinate and manage innovative projects, from planning to final execution and follow-up, with respect to the timeline
Manage project scope definition, combining the result of innovative scouting with Ferrero strategic targets regarding toys with the objective to improve the physical interaction playabilities: creativity, edutainment, learning while playing, and wow effect
Coordinate and manage internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve the planned objectives and work in alignment with other toys laboratory and workshops (internally/externally) in relation to processes and guidelines
Manage the toys laboratory in relation to machineries and tools for the development of the projects, ensure compliance to maintenance and safety standards compliance (ISO)
Work in close collaboration with marketing, technical development and industrialization functions to ensure understanding of the product requirements
Hold responsibility for prototype development from 3D Cad Design to Pilot Mold Production
Work with the quality department on safety of material and certification
Monitor the market searching for new applicable trends to define new opportunities area, be a company expert matter in cutting edge technologies
Maintain, update and consolidate the Ecosystem in APAC compliant with the research scope
Organize and guide Ferrero presence in the relevant innovation challenges and hackathons

Who we are looking for:

University degree in material engineering, material sciences, chemistry, chemical sciences, or chemical engineering preferred
6+ years of relevant professional experience technical development, material innovation or manufacturing, in plastic or toys industries
Multinational companies background in innovation centers, or plastics related industries is strongly preferred
Professional curiosity and eagerness to explore new ideas
High level of responsibility and drive to result
Solid project management skills and problem solving attitude
Strong communication and cross-functional interaction skills
Fluency in English, written and spoken; Mandarin is preferred, Chinese (Cantonese), Japanese, or any other Asian languages is considered a plus
