The associate will use machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy.

**A Day in the Life
**An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals. The majority of time is spent on system implementation while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Key Accountabilities

Work with process and equipment engineers to integrate new technology/capabilities with equipment and Manufacturing system.
Work with Operations team to define new operations workflow integrating with new technology/capabilities.
Participate and collaborative in crossfunctional teams including QA, product/process engineering and Operations users for gathering requirements and defining project scope for automation solutions supporting manufacturing and engineering.
Create work breakdown structure (WBS) as inputs for project plan, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
Develop software solutions by consulting with endusers, developing systems requirements, understanding usage and work processes, and following the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Meet with operations and engineering users, often on the production floor, to build business requirements and usecases.
Create highly visual documentation (flowcharts, process maps, sequence diagrams) to help all stakeholders reach a common understanding.
Develop software in close communication with end users. Develop software follows the established solution architecture and principles.
Create system test plan and test cases; execute test cases and document test results to support system validation activities.
Analyze product and compliance requirements and work with system software developers to ensure system design/functions meet all requirements.
Utilize all team members to assess risk during three project phases: project initiation, prevalidation test assessment and postvalidation test assessment.
Communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
Analyze production/manufacturing problems/issues related to equipment or automation software and determining root cause.
Proactively and reactively resolve daytoday production issues.
Provide technical engineering support for 24x7 Manufacturing Operations as needed.
Review department specifications and process documentation to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and Medtronic internal quality policies.
Collaborates with operators, engineers, and IT personnel in troubleshooting issues between the MES and ERP systems.
Design and develop new system solution to improve manufacturing operation, quality control and digital transformation initiative.
Design prototypes according to business specifications
Write high quality source code to program complete systems or reports within deadlines
Perform system validation using Medtronic System Compliance Methodology (MSCM) to ensure Medtronic implements and maintains validated systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and quality objectives. Perform other related duties as assigned, to ensure workload coverage within engineering department and to fulfill business objective. Follow any other jobrelated instructions and to perform any other jobrelated duties requested by respective superior.

Must Have
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 4 years of relevant degree or an advanced degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Your Profile

Degree in computer science or related fields
Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Working experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in the medtech / pharma industry is a plus.
