The Company

Our client is a top player in the MICE industry and is expanding their business in search of a new Accountant to join their finance team in Singapore.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing the accounting functions and preparing complete sets of accounts for affiliated companies.

In this role, you will:

Perform daily accounting and finance tasks such as handling receivables and payables, managing the general ledger, conducting tax and bank reconciliations, etc.
Manage timely closing processes and reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
Ensure accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
Engage with banks regarding banking transactions.
Assist operational teams in maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Review and process petty cash transactions.
Aid in receiving functions.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Support audit and tax inquiries.
Assist in forecasting and budgeting activities following corporate guidelines.
Coordinate with external parties like auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax authorities, and government entities as needed.
Ensure compliance with all finance and tax filing requirements, audits, procedures, and forms, both statutory and internal.
Assist in the implementation of new processes and systems when necessary.

Your Profile

You should hold a diploma in accounting or business and have a minimum of 6-7 years of relevant accounting experience. Previous experience in a small setup handling a full range of finance activities is highly desirable. You should be able to manage a high volume of transactions and thrive in a fast-paced environment. An outgoing personality with exceptional communication skills to interact with both external and internal stakeholders is essential.
