Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies and policies in alignment with local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, providing timely advice and guidance to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the regulatory reporting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address regulatory risks and implement appropriate controls and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities and respond to regulatory inquiries and inspections.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on regulatory compliance matters, promoting a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the organization.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging regulatory requirements, proposing and implementing necessary changes to policies and procedures.
To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • A relevant degree in Law, Finance, Business or related disciplines
  • Qualified lawyer would be advantageous
  • 15+ years of compliance experience with strong regulatory knowledge from private bank and/or MAS
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and implement effective compliance strategies.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese is a must
