Responsibilities:


  • Acquiring new customers (90% hunting)
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers
  • Conducting meetings with customers to understand their rice preferences (variety, milling degree, shipment pace, unit price, payment terms, etc.)
  • Support the team to creating sample rice based on requested variety and milling degree
  • Support the team contracting and overseeing the manufacturing/delivery of products
  • Handling various office tasks, including administration and care for rice milling staff
  • Performing other related tasks as required

Requirements:

Prior working experience in any sales role:


  • Conversational proficiency in Japanese to communicate with Japanese-speaking counterparts and assist to read Japanese labels for clients:
  • Comfortable with administrative tasks to manage the office and cover staff when necessary.
  • Experience in distributor specializing in food and beverages will be an advantage
  • Understanding / connection with local restaurants would be an advantage
