Title:

Process Safety Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Under supervision or independently carry out Design Safety Philosophies, Specifications for fire protection systems (Active & Passive), data sheet for firefighting systems

Develop UFDs, PIDS for the fire protection systems and carry out Fire water/foam demand calculations (incl. Gas suppression system) and Firewater system Hydraulic check analysis

Prepare Hazardous Area Classification Source release schedule/ report and its Drawings, Fire Zone drawings, Safety & Fire Fighting, Life saving equipment layouts, Escape route drawings, Safey Signs Drawings, Firefighting Nozzle coverage shadow

Support in review/ consolidate comments and coordination in Third Party Studies including FERA, Dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, Dropped objects study,TRIA, Ship collision study, QRA studies.

etc. (not limited too)

Assist in preparation of Active and Passive Fire Protection, Lifesaving, Safety signs packages (incl. prepare requisition, datasheets, ) and PFP schedule document

Support in TBE, vendor Docs. review in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrument Package on Safety (incl. HFE) aspects

Assist safety inputs include ergonomics/ Human factors Engineering for projects, as required

Interface/ coordinate with other Engineering disciplines for resolving technical matters related to safety aspects

Interact/coordinate with designers & provide inputs for Safety layout preparations for projects, as required

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university

Person shall have 3-7 years HSE Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry, in Process Safety/ Technical Safety

Involved in design projects for Offshore (FPSO/Platforms) or Onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminal etc)

Possess good knowledge of Oil & Gas facilities, local and international regulatory codes & standards and the ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes

Familiar with plot plan reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification/ verification and other Safety reviews (e.g.
SIMOPS, ALARP) is preferred

Working Knowledge of local/owners safety regulations for Singapore projects will be added value

Good working knowledge in PIPENET Vision, Flaresim and other consequence modelling software such as DNV PHAST etc. preferred
