Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish manufacturing strategy, goals and objectives to achieve the business goals by leading the team effectively and efficiently, with primary focus on On-Time delivery of quality products to Customers.
- To develop a culture of Continuous Improvement, lead plant wide Lean / 5S implementation & sustainability efforts and assist/participate in other aspects of improving efficiency, asset utilization & throughput within the assigned plant.
- Gather improvement ideas from manufacturing areas by engaging process experts (floor employees, leads & supervisors) & SME (Subject Matter Experts); provide direct feedback to them regarding ideas that are implemented.
- Will provide overall responsibility for all resources assigned to the Machine Shop, to achieve all quality, cost and service objectives and to ensure all quality programs, initiatives and commitments are maintained and enhanced.
- Plan and prioritize production schedules based on the required manpower, space, capacity and materials requirements.
- Responsible for overall central planning; develop and coordinate manufacturing activities among the different manufacturing sites, align priorities to fulfil Customers' requirements
- Lead a team of multidisciplined manufacturing technicians/engineers/supervisors in resolving operations issues impacting manufacturing deliverables.
- Identify & implement processes and systems needed to achieve cycle time and lead time reduction, safety improvements, manufacturing quality improvements and cost reduction
- Identifies opportunities and work with Engineering department on design improvements to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Collect, analyze and report key measurement data and develop action plans to address all identified weaknesses
- Ensure compliance to safety policies and procedures.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
- Degree in manufacturing or engineering with 8 years of working experience in Semiconductor industry and a minimum of 5 years in Managerial/Supervisory role
- Management and lean manufacturing experience
- Strong in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel
- Must be proficient in 5S/Lean Manufacturing
- Use Data Analysis to make recommendations on how to improve the quality and efficiency of manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent "people skills" to understand and optimize team dynamics is a must.
- Strong business acumen
- May be required to interact with outside customers, vendors or suppliers
