Job Purpose/Role:

Responsible for proactively leading the implementation, documentation, maintenance, and improvement of the local sales planning process based on global forecasting and analysis tools, systems, and processes.

Drives the continuous development and improvement of sales planning and reporting process and ensures effective preparation and implementation of the Sales Dialogue / sales audits.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Planning & Forecasting

  • Manage forecasting and tracking yeartodate performance for entire region including spoke countries.
  • Supervise and coordinate the successful administration of sales related data and deliver on the relevant reports.
  • Act as principal referral point for planning queries.
  • Instil best practice processes across the regions.
Sales Reporting

  • Produce country sales planning (bottomup vs. top down) in the predefined format, including quality checking and consolidation for all local sales figures (from spoke countries and LOBs).
  • Responds to ad hoc requests for LOBs and Head of MMC including research, reports, analytical sheets, performance forecasting and project work.
  • Represents MMC at the LOBs team meetings to cover costings, portfolios and identifying improvements.
Market Management

  • Regularly report progress, issues, and deviation from agreed plans and actions to the local Head of Distribution Management.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate, and develop strong working relationships, with key stakeholders, including local Market Management, UW, and Operations teams, and global Market Management functions.
  • Supports MMC on facilities, commissions, and competitor analysis.
Sales Management Tool

Training & Facilitation

  • Deliver and facilitate effective SFDC training for users.
  • Drive effective, timely and accurate usage of SFCS throughout the region.
  • Management and development of Junior Sales Analyst.
Provide Back-up to Broker Administration Tasks

  • Support broker remuneration data production, remuneration analysis, broker accreditation process.
  • Support contact mapping excess commission requests, broker dashboards and steering
  • Ad hoc requests

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:
Required Experience

  • Proven track of Underwriting or Development role in industrial / specialty insurance business. Robust knowledge in at least one Line of Business.
  • Experience of delivering in an analytical role (sales environment, controlling roles or similar). Robust knowledge in at least one trade sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of fostering long term, profitable relationships at senior level in broker and client organisations.
  • Exposure to SFDC or other relevant CRM databases are an advantage.
  • Exposure to working in complex, global matrix organization.
Required Education

  • Degree preferred, in e.g., Economics, Business Administration, Law or other appropriate discipline
  • Progress towards professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII)
Technical Skills

  • Sales support: ability to effectively execute essential functions in support of a sales team. Understanding of the insurance sales life cycle.
  • Channel management: knowledge of various channels of sales (e.g., broker, tied agent, direct).
  • Portfolio performance: ability to monitor and analyse portfolio performance.
General Skills

  • Communication & Presentation: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story.
  • Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority.
  • Analytical Skills: ability to analyse highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.

  • Local language will be a plus.
