What the role is

You will be part of the Security Department that is responsible for the security of and order in the House, the protocol and ceremonial functions of the SerjeantatArms, and risk management and business continuity to sustain Parliament operations.

What you will be working on

Your core responsibilities will broadly cover the following:
Administer and manage the provision of security services by the contracted Security Services Agency.
Coordinate with external agencies for collaboration in or for support of security operations.
Maintain a vigilant watch over security operations and the ability to readily respond if the situation warrants.
Establish and maintain requisite SOPs and best practices to sustain comprehensiveness and consistency of security operations.
Implement and manage the admission and access of all persons into and within Parliament House according to the established policies and procedures.
Maintain the requisite level of readiness in security operations through training, audits, and Red Teaming exercises.
Assist to perform other assigned duties and tasks of Security Department and participate in agencywide initiatives and projects as and when assigned.

What we are looking for

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in security or related fields, preferably in Police or military service.
Good knowledge of security principles, processes, and procedures. Knowledge in fire safety, business continuity or crisis management would be advantageous.
Good writing and computer literacy skills.
Possess strong and effective interpersonal and communications skills to engage officers at all levels.
Meticulous with a keen eye for details
Physically fit to conduct physical inspection on the ground on a regular basis
Able to work independently as well as in teams
Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines
