Description
Safely operate a bus following predetermined routes and schedules.

  • Ensure the safety of passengers during transit, including assisting individuals with disabilities or mobility issues.
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and maintain awareness of road conditions.
  • Collect fares or tickets from passengers, issue receipts, and provide information on routes and schedules.
  • Maintain order among passengers, particularly in crowded or busy situations.
  • Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff promptly.
  • Keep the interior of the bus clean and orderly, including sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Provide assistance in emergency situations, such as accidents or medical emergencies, by following established procedures.
  • Keep records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the employer.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on duty.
  • Adapt to changes in routes or schedules as necessary.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the bus when parked or not in use.
