What the role is
- The International Legal Division (ILD) promotes and safeguards Singapore's interests through the development of a progressive international legal framework consistent with the rule of law. ILD is involved in advancing Singapore's public and private international law policy interests, including by coordinating coherent and consistent wholeofgovernment approaches.
It is also involved in the domestic implementation of international obligations in the context of efforts to combat terrorism and transnational organised crime, and in efforts to promote Singapore's role as an advocate of the rule of law at the international and national levels.
ILD also advances the interests of the legal, economic and social sectors through strategic legal cooperation platforms.What you will be working on
- You will be expected to conduct research and jurisdictional scans, formulate, develop and review policy and legislation, and participate in international meetings and negotiations to advance and safeguard Singapore's international legal policy interests.
