Business Need / Purpose of Role:

To assume responsibility of the Human Resources functions within Asia Pacific region and, implement, align, standardize, and develop applicable HR process and procedures, aligned to global HR policies, to enable the business efficiently and cost effectively.

To ensure the HR process and procedures, governance & controls adheres to group policy and statutory requirements:

  • Ownership of the People and Culture initiatives to enable and drive the business for growth and sustained success.
  • Responsible for leading the HR operations, ensuring adequate controls and reporting is in place to support the business.
  • Proactively support the process for setting performance targets and delivering on objectives together with APAC Leadership Team.
  • Support group HR projects as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:


HR Strategy, Leadership and Coordination

  • Implement Group HR Strategy, Policies and Procedures in APAC.
  • Lead and support any change agenda, advising on people decisions to drive effectiveness.
  • Ensure that HR issues are given full consideration in all decision making.
  • Ensure effective, fair and equitable management of employees.
  • Provide advice, information and support to business managers, line managers and employees on HR policies and procedures in line with group policy and best practice.
  • Focus on the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
  • Prepare reports for management in relation to employee turnover; new hires; resignations; training and development etc.

Talent Management & Retention

  • Executes talent, retention and succession planning initiatives.
  • Working with the regional and global HR team on talent management strategy and the annual talent review process.
  • Support, communicate and advise management on their talent development initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Works closely with Group HR to consolidate local Compensation Committee recommendations.

Training and Development

  • Works in line with regional resources to promote and arrange delivery of training that is directly relevant and beneficial to the operations.
  • Manage the annual training and development plan and budget and ensure that all individual training plans are followed up.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate the performance management of employees, including job description formulation, assessments, and promotions.
  • Implementing performance appraisals, training and feedback in line with regional/global HR standards.
  • Drive best practice and act as counsel to management on all issues of employee performance.

Legal and Compliance Practices

  • Ensures up to date employment policy in line with local legislation and group policy are in place.
  • Continual policy and process development and amending and implementing policies and procedures in line with employment law regulation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Up to date knowledge of local HR policies, processes and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of Bamboo will be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages, in order to communicate with multinational network of individuals as well as the local agency
  • Ability to lead teams and the ability to adjust communication style for different situations and cultures.
  • Strong business partner and relationship building capabilities across a diverse international group.
  • Quick thinking and comfortable in a creative setting and a fastpaced environment where each day brings new challenges and rewards.
  • A selfstarter; happy to pitch into the daytoday necessary tasks and prioritize longterm projects.
  • Excellent work ethic and grounding of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Commercially astute. Able to interpret and analyze numerical data and information.

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a public or accredited private academic institution preferred
  • 10 years of experienc
