The Fintech Strategy and Investments Team partners with Business Leaders across the organization to define forward-looking digital strategies that solve business & client needs or create new opportunities.

Our focus areas include innovations in Capital Markets, DLT & Web3, Business Automation, Digital Client Experience, Emerging Tech and other key areas.

We manage strategic partnerships and investments in companies that will advance J.P. Morgan's digital agenda.


The team are experts on how to leverage emerging technologies and external Fintech organizations to drive revenue, generate efficiency, and create new business opportunities for CIB.

Our work throughout the bank and with our partners ensures J.P. Morgan remains a global leader in the financial technology space.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business leads, growth opportunities or future market trends
  • Source and execute strategic partnerships in conjunction with the Strategic Investments team to advance J.P. Morgan's digital agenda in the region
  • Engage with management on existing pain points/business opportunities with a view to developing new solutions, services, products, and distribution channels
  • Develop and convey compelling yet objective value propositions to get buyin from senior management on innovative fintech strategies
  • Engage with and develop a strong rapport with a global team
  • Lead and develop a high performing team in the region, whilst establishing partnership with internal functional partners (technology, product, legal, compliance, user experience) across the organization
  • Negotiate partnerships with Fintechs alongside the Strategic Investments team and other CIB stakeholders
  • Build and develop long term relationships with Fintech and Venture Capital executives
  • Participate in industry events/ organizations as a thought leader
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance or other related disciplines
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience either in Banking, Trading or Research roles with exposure to Private Equity, Venture Capital, FinTech, Management Consulting or Strategy
  • Experience working in APAC
  • Team management experience required; a great team leader with ability to inspire, develop, and promote collaboration within the team
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to rapidly engage a diverse audience of internal/ external stakeholders, include senior management
  • Passion for digital business transformation and how tech innovation shapes the digital economy
  • Strong timemanagement and organizational skills with ability to objectively prioritize
  • Ability to take complex issues / data and simplify those into a clear message articulated
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proactive and not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and do the tactical work
  • Open, collaborative, teamoriented operating style, works well with crossfunctional teams
  • Gracefully challenge the status quo and is data driven
  • Able to see the \"big picture\" and the details
  • Fortitude to persevere when confronted with difficult challenges
