Write scripts (shell, python, ansible etc.) to automate routine system administration tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
Develop scripts on Redhat Linux operating systems and servers to ensure systems are up to date with the latest patches and updates.
Develop comprehensive plans for upgrading Red Hat Linux systems, including assessing current environments
Identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.

Conduct pre-upgrade tests and post-upgrade validations to ensure system stability and performance.

Develop and maintain a robust backup and recovery strategy.
Perform regular backups and test recoveries to ensure data integrity.
Manage and configure network services related to Unix systems, such as SSH, SFTP, and DNS.

Requirements:

Bachelors / Engineering graduate with 4 years of experience in Linux using Bash programming, Python programming, Shell programming.
Experience in setting up servers from scratch.
Subject matter expert on technologies
Redhat 6/7/8, Solaris 10/11, HP-UX 11.31, Veritas Infoscale Cluster and MC/Service Guard Cluster.
Indepth handson knowledge/experience with NFS, NIS, LDAP, Centrify, Redhat Satellite, KVM Virtualization, LDOM/OVM and HPE & Sun-Oracle hardware.
Knowledge and/or hands on working experience with emerging technologies
Cloud IaaS, Hadoop Big Data, Network/Security basics, Storage/Backup basics, HyperV/ESX basics.
Strong experience in Control M programming & administration

Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills.
