Description

We are looking for a Technical Network Engineer / SME on a 6-months direct client contract basis with a possibility of an extension or conversion to a permanent role based on performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work remotely to support factory IP network design and infrastructure.
Interface with client's corporate IT security teams to understand the project and brief factory cyber team accordingly.
Support sites to implement Firewalls to an assured design and coach sites on how to transition the networks behind the firewall.
Support sites to install, configure network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP linked to the firewall installation.
Where possible recommend new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Ensure the configuration of firewalls, routing and switching are installed to maximise network efficiency and security.
Support the network if issue or troubleshooting is required linked to the firewall installation.
Investigate faults in the network if linked to deployment of firewalls.
Report network status to key stakeholders.
Assist with integration of existing OT network into firewall topology.

Requirements:

3 years (minimum) recent Network Experience
Cisco networking qualifications or equivalent
Strong experience in Networking, FortiGate Firewall, Proxy, and SDWAN
Experience in network installation, configure network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP linked to the firewall installation.
Ability to plan and manage delivery of assigned work inline with agreed timescales.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges.
Work independently and to manage workload.
