Lead Operator

Job Description:

Oversee all aspects of a manufacturing process on the shop floor, including planning, organizing, and directing workers to ensure that products are being made in a timely and efficient manner.

Demonstrate expertise to perform waste recycling, chemical blending, filling of chemicals, loading/unloading of Isotankers, sampling and packing of finish products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all shift activities and communication. Work with production planner on production schedule to develop manpower plan
Lead & participate in ESH programs and activities. Be available to respond to emergency production and safety issues. Investigate and submit report on accident/incident
Oversee & perform all the operational activities such as waste recycling, chemical blending, filling of chemicals, loading/unloading of Isotankers, sampling and packing of finish products
Work with production engineer to ensure capability of the process in producing the quantity and quality required & troubleshoot as needed
Support any new product evaluation/qualification process and provide assessment results
In addition to the above, you may be required to support other business operations as needed, by the Company
Coordinate with Maintenance function to ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated, and critical spare parts are available
Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager._

Qualifications & Experience:

Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Chemical Process Technology/ Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /or similar discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or related environment
Familiarity with Microsoft software and SAP system
Familiarize in PLC operations

Additional Information:

Require to work in office environment includes writing reports, work planning and meetings as well as exposed to outside elements.
Comfortable to perform 12 hour rotating shift
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as you will be expose to various chemicals and compounds including fumes and smells [Harzardous chemicals]
Require to enter confined spaces and perform work in elevated environment
