Morgan Stanley's Asia (ex-Japan) Macro Strategy Research team is seeking an Associate/Vice President to join the Macro Strategy team.
Based in Hong Kong or Singapore, this Macro Strategy Associate/Vice President will:

  • Build and maintain quantitative research models, generate trade ideas, handle client requests and develop client relationships
  • Write research reports that focus on ASEAN FX and rates markets with Indian market experience would be an advantage
  • Overtime, be expected to independently lead coverage for ASEAN markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications
  • A university/postgraduate degree with excellent academic results
  • With 3 to 8 years macro research experience in a leading financial institution
  • Strong quantitate quantitative skills
  • Good knowledge or past experience of rates market a strong plus
  • Proven research writing skills
  • A strong interest/understanding in macro/economics necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English, fluency in Mandarin advantageous
  • Outstanding analytical skills including experience with economics and finance a strong plus
  • High energy, selfmotivated, creative and organized team player
  • Attention to detail with ability to multitask and reprioritize a must
