GENERAL DESCRIPTION


The Communications Specialist is a member of the Investment Content & Campaigns APAC (ICCA) team and shall endeavour to fulfil the ambitions defined and outlined for the team by Head Investment Content & Campaigns APAC.

He/she shall ensure active risk management and meet all regulatory and internal compliance expectations relating to the role.


The specialist shall be responsible for leading and/or coordinating the production of investment content in various modalities such as podcasts, videos, webcasts and client events to bolster investment campaigns and build up the Bank's brand presence through content engagement.


The incumbent shall be involved in all aspects of production including planning, researching and writing scripts, selecting and interviewing guests, editing and delivery as well as marketing efforts.

In addition, the specialist shall oversee the in-house studio, conceptualize and launch an Asia social media video channel and actively manage the digital content calendar.

Further, the specialist shall take on responsibilities to review and ensure adherence of investment content with regulatory and policy standards.

The incumbent shall collaborate closely with Global stakeholders to deliver compelling investment content for Asia and Global consumption.

The specialist should also develop highly effective relationships across the Bank to maintain and improve knowledge of the business and its latest products and services to optimise service to clients.

The role reports to Head of Investment Content & Campaigns APAC based in Singapore.


KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

People Management**- Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment

  • Motivate and provide guidance/feedback to other team members to improve overall performance

Client Management (internal & external)

  • Participate as host or moderator at client events, webcasts, podcasts and videos, as and when required.
  • Oversee the Beyond Markets Podcast series and facilitate the production of weekly podcast episodes
  • Manage, oversee and run Julius Baer's inhouse studio to create videos to bolster investment campaigns
  • Launch and manage the Asia video channel on social media and provide tactical and strategic recommendations based on trends
  • Produce ad hoc webcasts to respond to market events, in partnership with Marketing
  • Work closely with global stakeholders to deliver content modalities across the bank's internal and external channels
  • Keep updated on changes in the Bank's Research and CIO views and infer implications for investment content

Business Management

  • Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team defined by the functional and administrative supervisors
  • Regular review of the function's practices to ensure efficiency and productivity at kept at optimal levels

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements
  • Adhere to all relevant Local User Manuals
  • Perform independent quality review and coordinate clearance for new publications with relevant stakeholders (including Legal & Compliance)
  • Perform regular samplechecks and controls for publications to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory standards
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Personal and Social

  • Able to work independently and in a global team setup to take on initiatives with a positive attitude

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to work to strict deadlines.

Professional and Technical

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications, or related field plus 58 years of relevant marketing/communications/financial industry experience
  • Work experience as a Presenter, News Anchor, Reporter in the media industry, or as an Inhouse Presenter or Moderator is a bonus
  • Sound knowledge of financial markets and investment products
  • Represent the Bank's and shareholders' interests at all times
