Description

Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the company's fleet of vessels, including scheduling, voyage planning, and coordination of activities to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance requirements to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Coordinate with ship captains, crew members, and shorebased staff to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the implementation of safety procedures and protocols onboard vessels to ensure the safety of personnel, cargo, and the environment.
Liaise with port authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits and clearances.
Manage vessel documentation, including certificates, licenses, and insurance policies, to ensure compliance with international and local regulations.
Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to schedule and oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of vessel equipment and systems.
Monitor and analyze operational data, including voyage reports, fuel consumption, and maintenance records, to identify trends, improve performance, and reduce costs.
Provide support and assistance to vessel captains and crew members as needed, including troubleshooting operational issues and resolving disputes.
Ensure effective ship management practices, including navigation and information sharing, to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards.

Requirements:

Minimum Degree in Maritime / Marine Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant Vessel / Fleet operations experience in the marine industries
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven leadership and decisionmaking skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of professionals.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Able to travel overseas. Able to start work immediately or within short notice
