    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities
    • Responsibilities include promoting and managing the health, safety, and environmental compliance of vessels. Ensuring vessels are capable of performing voyages and operations.
    • Arranging and managing audits and inspections required by recognized organizations such as ISM, ISPS, and MLC.
    • Coordinating vetting inspections and submitting reports on the OCIMF SIRE online platform.
    • Overseeing navigational matters, including approving passage plans and conducting navigation audits. Ensuring compliance with terminal, operators, oil majors, and charterers' requirements.
    • Liaising with Flag State and Port State authorities. Keeping Q88 and HVPQ updated. Advising on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
    • Monitoring, reviewing, and updating the company's Safety Management System.
    • Providing guidance and information to vessels. Offering support, training, and enforcement for crew competency and discipline.
    • Assisting with inquiries regarding vessels' capabilities and performances. Serving as a member of the company's emergency response team. Completing projects and tasks as assigned.

    Job Requirements :

    The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Master on a ship, holding a CoC class 1 or 2 license. Alternatively, they should have at least 2 years of experience in shore-based roles related to safety, health, and environmental management and compliance for product or chemical tankers. They must be well-versed in international and local maritime regulations and requirements, and exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, teamwork, management, and communication skills, and be able to inspire and motivate others to excel.
